Core Sculpture

The idea for this sculpture came from a fern I picked up on my favourite beach in Wales - Barafundle. Its fine intricate two dimensional structure fascinated me. And, inspired me to think about how I could create a thee dimensional sculpture out of a two dimensional shape. The Core was the result, a piece designed to stimulate the creative mind. Made out of interlocking pieces, it can be disassembled and reconfigured at will. Think Lego meets sculpture. You can have it arranged as the standard Core or take it apart and put it back together in any shape you like. The only limit is your imagination.
